This podcast is for you if:
You've bought three different planners this year and they're all gathering dust because they assume your brain works in ways it absolutely does not
You're exhausted from trying to follow business advice that starts with "just" - just batch your content, just wake up at 5am, just plan your quarter, just be consistent - and feeling like a failure when none of it sticks
You're running a business you created for freedom and flexibility, but it feels like it's running you instead - your to-do list is a hydra and your brain won't shut off at 11pm
You want real talk about what it's actually like to run a business with ADHD, not another productivity expert telling you the problem is your morning routine
You're tired of feeling like you need to fix yourself to be successful, and you're ready to build systems that actually work WITH your neurodivergent brain instead of against it
Episodes
Meet your hostsHi, We’re Em & Ell.
Em & Ell have been navigating neurodivergent life together since 2012, when Em asked Ell to marry her and he said no (then yes).
Em is a business systems consultant who helps neurodivergent entrepreneurs build ADHD-friendly systems that actually stick. She's a late-diagnosed AuDHDer with a background that spans musical theater, American history PhD studies, doula work, and Twitch streaming.
Elliott is also neurodivergent, works a day job, and has watched & supported Em as she built her business from the ground up. He asks the questions you're thinking and isn't afraid to call Em out when she gets too deep in the theory.
Together, they talk about what it's actually like to run a business, manage a household, and stay married when both of your brains work differently than the productivity (and relationship) experts assume.

Why doesn't "just start" work for ADHD brains? Because we have a faulty start button.
In this episode: the wall between thinking and doing, what's actually happening when you can't make your body do the thing, and why telling someone with ADHD to "just start" adds shame instead of helping.
Plus: what actually works (body doubling, friction audits, pairing with dopamine), the two types of "I can't start," and why being imperfect is perfect.
Also: Em's dentist story will make you question everything.
