Overthinking is stealing your momentum

Back to the archive

Ever spent more time thinking about a task than it would’ve taken to just do it?

Same.

Overthinking is sneaky. It shows up as “being responsible.”

It sounds like:→ “What if this isn’t the right way?”→ “Let me just tweak it one more time.”→ “I need a better system before I start.”

And before you know it, you’re stuck in a loop—spiraling instead of starting.

Here’s what’s helped me:💡 Giving myself permission to take messy first steps💡 Making “done” the goal, not perfect💡 Saying: “This doesn’t have to be forever. Just for now.”

Momentum doesn’t come from overthinking. It comes from moving.
